The city of West Hollywood has decided to put a leash on dog and cat sales.


Now can you imagine this. While walking your dog or carrying your cat, the West Hollywood police pull next to you.

"Where did you get that animal?"

"I bought from a breeder in Riverside."

"Do you have proof of purchase?

"Yes, the sales slip and certificate are in my wallet"

After the public safety officer reviews, the material he says,

"I'm sorry [at least apologetic], but you're under arrest. You can only have a cat or dog here that was conceived in an ally, no pedigreed animals permited in our town."

IFPD meetings — mon and wed

The Idyllwild Fire Protection District commission will be busy this week. Due to the resignation of Chief Steve Kunkle, a special closed meeting will be held 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15 in the station conference room.

Then again at
5:30 p.m, Wednesday, Feb. 17, the commission will hold another special meeting to address many of the items which were tabled at its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Once agenda are available, they will be published here.

IFPD Chief Kunkle resigns

Idyllwild Fire Department fire Chief Steve Kunkle has resigned. His final day will be tomorrow Feb. 14 and will take leave until the end of February. No specific reason has been given.

This is the view of the repaired section from the first car over it going west.

The contractor crew began on Tuesday and worked all week. They had to stop for Tuesday's rain, but work all Wednesday night to get the job done.


They need a couple of more weeks to continue work on the culvert and drainage.

One lane with a flagman will be open every day and both lanes in the evening until all the work is competed.
